Fawkes and Reece are working with a tier 1 contractor to recruit a permanent Sub Agent to work on a major project within the London Underground.
Our client is a global leader in construction and engineering with a breadth of experience unrivalled across infrastructure, bridge, highway, dam and tunnel. Their current portfolio has a range of UK projects from £350m to £1.5bn, with major works underway in London.

(This role would require you to work irregular shifts, including nights and weekends - with 25% shift uplift)
Your experience:
-Have worked as a senior engineer or sub agent on large projects upwards to £100m
-Fit-out essential, ideally within a station environment (premises fit-out/and or MEP)
-Sprayed Concrete Lining experience
-Main contractor experience
-Experience and understanding of LUL standards and regulations (mandatory)
-Experience in major rail projects across the UK
The duty would consist of, but would not be limited to:
- Overseeing the project to ensure the works are constructed in a safe manner and meet the specified requirements in terms of cost, quality and timescale.
- Reporting all construction issues to the Agent.
- Overseeing the work performed by the construction workers and their immediate supervisors.
- Ensuring that the various elements of the construction programme are completed on programme.
- Assisting the co-ordination between site subcontractors, highlighting areas of clash or potential time/cost saving.
- Providing engineering updates in the Weekly Work Plan meeting
- Ensuring timely collation of handover documentation in line with LUL and Stakeholder requirements.
- Review of subcontractor programmes and co-ordination of works into the 3-week look ahead.
- Review of planned vs. actual production rates, liaise with the Agent to assist in mitigation of delays or cost increase, seek continuous improvement/savings.
- Able to work days, weekends or nights as required by the works
Your qualifications (necessary):
- Educated to degree level in a relevant study (Civil Engineering etc.). HNC/HND acceptable based on experience
- Current CSCS
- Temporary Works
Your qualifications (desirable):
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Computer skills (word/excel/outlook)
The above skills and qualifications will be coupled with excellent written and verbal skills in English, dedication to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a high-speed work environment.
