Our client is currently recruiting for a Sub-Agent on a permanent contract which can be based in either Exeter or Bristol. Our client is proud to be a leading international infrastructure group with a diverse and inclusive workforce.

The salary for this role is between £38,000 - £40,000 per annum plus allowances dependant on experience and is 42 hours per week, Monday – Friday

The ideal candidate must have experience in Civil Engineering activities, PTS, and a full UK driving license.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Provide suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions
• Input into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments as well as the production and delivery of Task Briefing Sheets and toolbox talks
• Ensure all plant and small tools are adequately maintained before use and that they are adequate for the task prior to being used
• Through observation and liaison with the workforce and subcontractors suggest improvement areas
• Monitor the performance of plant operators and appointed persons
• Carry out safety & environment tours
• Keep up to date with changes in legislation and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
• Ensure that the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce, particularly to those engaged on activities that have been identified as likely to have a significant environmental impact
• Identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls and seek to improve levels of safety at every opportunity
• Cards required: PTS, COSS Competency, SMSTS

Experience and expertise required:

• Experience in Civil Engineering activities
• COSS Competency and PTS. (PTS is essential)
• SMSTS
• Driving license
• Computer Skills
