Site Engineer - Track
£250/day - £300/day rate neg DOE

Our client is a well established Rail contractor who is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join this experienced team based in London.
This Tier 1 Rail contractor wins work on high profile projects and has a healthy order book which includes this new project starting shortly.
Reporting to the Project Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking engineering duties both on site and in the office as required by the projects.
You will need:
Essential:
- Significant experience as a site engineer.
- Experience using setting out and surveying using total station.
- Experience using 2D and 3D methods for excavations, including preparation of permit to dig, CAT Scanning, Trial Holes.
- Experience of working to relvant to construciton standards and tolerances.
- Experience in both Civil Engineering and Permanent Way installations and methodologies.
- IT literate
- Flexible/proactive – can do attitude who shows initiative to support others
The role:
- Production and completion of paperwork such as TBS, Relevant Permits, Inspection and Test Plans, risk assessments; and producing As Builts and relevant health and safety file documentation.
- Undertaking engineering duties on site such as excavations, drainage installation, surveying and setting out using a total station.
- Working under the direction of the project engineer / construction manager to implement the works.
- Ensuring that best practice is maintained throughout.
- Attendance at regular update meetings with the project team.
- Working in line with all relevant health, safety, environment, quality and sustainability standards, processes and procedures.
