THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading construction contractor, with a compelling reputation for successfully delivering building and infrastructure works across the UK with a turnover of over £2.5 billion. They boast a heavy presence within construction operating across both the public and private sector, and with their successes have managed to increase their pipeline within infrastructure.

Due to a £15m project starting in the Rugby area, they are looking for an established Site Engineer to join the team!

THE ROLE

As a Site Engineer, you are going to be performing an integral role as part of a core team, undertaking all supervisory duties including H&S within the Highways Business unit to secure and deliver local authority framework, other public sector and private developer schemes within Rugby and neighboring counties within the Midlands region.

You will participate in the pre-Construction process, supporting the bid teams and supporting the contract and commercial management team within the business unit. You will have day to day responsibility for engineering delivery of section(s) of projects from contract award to issue of defects certificate.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the Site Engineer I want to hear from if you are seeking a career move, rather than “job move” as this opportunity comes with plenty of support, training and development – all the tools you need to climb the ladder!

As you will be responsible for more junior Engineers in your team, you will need to be willing to coach and support these to enable their development, as well as your own.

Whilst culture fit is important, skillset and experience are also pivotal in this role. You will need to have main contractor civil engineering experience – preferably within highways build – as this project entails earthworks, drainage, construction of a new road and a bridge. There’s plenty to get your teeth stuck in to, and this is just a flavour of the projects you could work on throughout your career here!

REQUIREMENTS

My client is looking for a Site Engineer who has a qualification of HNC/Degree or above in Civil Engineering and Site Engineer experience ideally with a Tier 1 contractor in infrastructure (roads, highways- £5m-£15m+), however if you have relevant experience in a different civil engineering sector, I want to hear from you!

REMUNERATION

For the top-notch Site Engineer, my client are offering a basic salary up to £35k depending on your experience, plus package including car or car allowance, pension, 25+ days holiday and more!
