Site Engineer

Location – Somerset, Bridgwater

Rate – Competitive

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Somerset, who is currently looking for multiple Site Engineers to work on Flood defence scheme on a 12 months position with possible extension.

Responsibilities:

• Initial survey and site investigation work.
• Set out for drainage, ducting, earthwork and other activities as required.
• Produce accurate and timely reports for management teams.
• To contribute to the management of the civils works.
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role within the civils sector
• +2 years’ experience within reinforced concrete works/earthworks, deep drainage and setting out
• Organisation and people management skills
• Demonstrate a meticulous and highly accurate approach to work
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• The post holder will be educated to a degree or higher level or equivalent in Civil engineering.
• A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND maybe be acceptable where a significant level of experience in a senior technical engineering role can be demonstrated.
