Site Services Engineering Production Leader
A Site Services Engineering Production Leader is required to work on a 6 month contract for a large rail company in Glasgow. My client is looking for someone to start in this role immediately and you will be required to work 37 hours per week. The rate of pay for this role is £19 per hour through a limited or Umbrella Company.
Purpose of Job:
To pro-actively assist in the co-ordination and delivery of infrastructure, plant and equipment in a safe effective manner. To control defect reporting and action through to completion. Implement and control issues relating to asset management, ensuring that all assets are maintained to appropriate standards. Deliver all locally agreed infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure work is performed in a safe, effective manner and in accordance with the H&S at Work Act, Rules and Regulations, Railway Group Standards and Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that critical plant availability and performance is monitored to ensure that the traincare centres can deliver customer requirements continuously, and that corrective action is taken when performance fails to meet targets.
- Control planned and reactive maintenance activities ensuring asset lists and maintenance schedules and maintained in an auditable condition and that all activities are to the agreed plan.
- Ensure that the traincare centre infrastructure maintenance is managed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Develop scopes of work and cost with contractors to deliver site projects
- Manage framework orders relating to Site Services site spend and ensure adequate funds for services to be procured.
- Action and monitor faults through to satisfactory completion, ensuring response times are adhered to and an audit trail is kept to show process.
- Work within electrical duty holder structure as required.
- Ensure Infrastructure contractors working on site are fully site briefed and controlled in a safe efficient manner and carry out audits to ensure compliance with appropriate standards.
Desired knowledge/Experience:
- Knowledge of ISO9000:2015 systems and implementation.
- Process operations knowledge (manufacturing, service or production)
- Ability to communicate effectively and ensure that the recipient has understood the message clearly
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Project management experience
Educational Requirements
- Electrical knowledge, BS 7671
- Track management
- Knowledge of environmental legislation
- Possession of or working towards a formal qualification Facilities Management
