Contract
Area Manager from a Rolling Stock background required to work across 3 Depots in London and Greater London across a variety of shift patterns, Days, Nights and Weekends are all available of this contract.
Duties for the Area Manager position will be to undertake and manager the maintenance of Electrical equipment systems, Mechanical components and the safety & emergency equipment. Knowledge of maintenance generators, rail vehicle braking systems and bogie inspection and repair are essential to be considered for this role. Experience in the Pneumatic and Hydraulics systems are also very beneficial to be consider for this position.
Other duties will include:
Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
NVQ level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience on working on rail Vehicles.
Able to pass PTS if required
Knowledge of RGS,VOI,VMI and work instructions
Comply with safe working practices, including cleanliness and tidiness of working environment
Knowledge of Pneumatic and hydraulics
Experience on Diesel Engines, pumps and diesel systems
Knowledge and maintenance of generators
Knowledge of rail vehicle braking systems
Knowledge of axle and wheel set inspections
Knowledge of Bogie inspection and repair
Undertake maintenance of electrical equipment and systems
Undertake maintenance of mechanical components and systems.
Undertake maintenance of safety and emergency equipment
Prior to your start there will be some familiarisation training on some of the systems you will be working on
PTS sentinel competency is desirable but not essential.
Experience on working in and around RHTT wagons is essential for this role
