My client is a well-established Nationwide transportation company whose professionalism and well-respected name, have been instrumental in their success. They provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.
They are now looking for a Route Access Manager (Area Possession Manager) to join their growing team due to an influx in work. The ideal candidate has previous management experience/accreditation as well as extensive previous experience within Possession Planning
The Ideal Candidate Has:
Essential
- Experience in maintenance management, processes and techniques
- Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes
- Knowledge of planning process and systems
- Knowledge of operational railway environment
- Knowledge of other functional disciplines
- Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of coaching techniques
- Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
The Role Will Involve:
- Lead and direct the detailed planning, resourcing and delivery of allocated possessions and the worksites within them.
- Manage development of individuals and the engagement of the team.
- Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence.
- Manage possession delivery arrangements where required.
- Identify any risk and mitigation measures to be applied to possession arrangements on a site-by-site basis.
- Leading possession coordination meetings to manage conflicts and accommodate changes.
- Populating the possession with work sites
- Manage the commercial arrangement relating to contracts for services, including provision of equipment, attendance of contractors/staff, and completion of timesheets.
- Establishing protection and isolation arrangements
- Manage the administration of the competence assessment process.
- Ensuring multidiscipline activities are used to maximise utilisation of possession time and on-site possession management, including acting as S/PICOP.
- Ensure that appropriate planning; safety and performance measures are being applied.
