We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Asset Manager to join our M8 Account in Bargeddie. This is a hybrid role.
The salary is up to £60k depending on experience.
Our M8 Account is working in partnership with Scottish Roads since 2014, we are responsible for completing and upgrading motorway networks and trunk roads in central Scotland. We have thus far completed 30 kilometres of motorway network between Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as 12 kilometres of new build road and 16 kilometres of network upgrades. This has resulted of the works being undertaken the new section of road between Glasgow and Edinburgh to help save up to 18 minutes off journeys at peak times for drivers travelling between the two cities. Our aim is to continue to maintain motorway networks and trunk roads through to 2047, to ensure we create well-functioning, safe spaces which minimise disruption, keep people moving and support thriving communities.
Principal Operations Manager – Asset Manager plays an important part and involves the Asset Management of all asset within the extent of the M8 DBFO project. This includes but is not limited to roadside, structures, geotechnical and landscaping asset.
You will be responsible for ensuring interventions are carried out at the required timescales to ensure serviceability of the contract asset, and to ensure it achieves the contract handback requirements
The standard hours of work will be 40 hours a week, generally 08:30 to 17:00 with 30-minute break.

You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all asset and renewal / improvement work required on the M8 DBFO project
- Production of key contract deliverables – including the O&M Manual and Maintenance Management Plan
- Responsible for managing and implementing processes in line with all asset management requirements
- Ensuring all documentation is complete for all lifecycle works.
- Ensuring all inspections, surveys and investigation works are carried out in accordance with the Contract Requirements, and in a timeously manner
- Planning and Production of all lifecycle works
- Being the asset management lead for reviewing the Contract Cost to Complete and other financial / commercial reviews
- Consulting with the client regarding the Maintenance Management Plan and asset renewal / improvement works, ensuring all required certification has been issued
- Liaising with Amey Consulting regarding all elements of work undertaken by them on the M8 DBFO project

We want to hear from you if you are: A competent communicator, dealing with clients, external suppliers, local authorities and other Operating Company / DBFO contacts and have knowledge of Asset Management Systems, such as Horizons and Vaisala Road AI
you will have A chartered Engineer in a relevant institute (such as the ICE, CIHT, IHE) and you will have experience in the use of IRIS
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have Knowledge of Asset Management Systems, such as Horizons and Vaisala Road AI and People Management Experience to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
