BIM Specialist - Sweden

ewi the leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are seeking a BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager to join a major contractor located in Sweden.

The company involved are regarded as market leaders in the field of Scandinavian Infrastructure BIM. The client ewi are working with have many award winning iconic projects. The client offers access to the most technical infrastructure project currently underway in Sweden.

The BIM Manager will be responsible for:

• Derive BIM modelling requirements and guidelines for contract specification and for life cycle BIM usage
• Define the project BIM Execution Plan, including input to Quality Assurance and Quality Control of models and development of Technology Plans
• Managing BIM standards, resources and application configuration within the Common Data Environment
• Managing change requests with respect to BIM standards and approaches, ensuring that the suppliers maintain a common data environment (CDE)
• Meet regularly with the Suppliers BIM Managers to review progress and provide support and guidance as necessary
• Develop and maintain BIM material to support the effective collaboration and support for team members
• Develop internal BIM methodologies to improve work flows where appropriate
• Develop BIM capabilities within the team, including team plan and recruiting
• Coordinate design discipline leads, BIM coordinators and BIM/CAD technicians for defining and delivering design according to requirements and specifications
• Coordinate and review digital transposition of design solutions
• Resolve design coordination issues with the design teams both internally and externally
• Lead design and BIM specific meetings and discussions, including kick-off, coordination and review (with the support of project team)
• Supervise and direct work of modellers and drafters through the whole design process
• Develop information strategy plan for the Organisation
• Configure and maintain project Common Data Environment and define communication work flow and information exchange procedures for effective management of engineering design deliverables
• Coordinate and mange link between CAD, BIM, GIS, document control and sources of information associated with the project.

Minimum requirements:

• Swedish national or Swedish speaking.
• BIM & structures expert.
• Good Communication.
• Good public speaking.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, package included.
