We are currently looking for an Information Manager/BIM Manager to work for a leading Engineering consultancy based in Croydon working on both Rail and Highway infrastructure schemes, coming from a Civils or Structures background. This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the UKs leading Engineering consultancies working being exposed to major projects with good scope within the position to progress. 

Within the role you will undertake the delivery of BIM and Information Management systems and processes within Medium and Major Projects contexts utilising your knowledge of engineering design, delivery and construction within any primary civil  or structure infrastructure sector including highways and railways. You will work with and have an understanding of the data, information management, BIM agendas within the UK and the standards and documents that underpin its implementation within the engineering industry. 

As the Information Manager/BIM Manager you will work with Subject Matter Experts and Discipline leads to establish cost-effective, practical approaches to integrating BIM throughout delivery establishing project processes that ensure delivery of a structured Project information Model that constitute spatially coordinated volumes, progressively maturing into detailed design elements.

For this role they would consider candidate within other regional locations as well as London such as Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Croydon and Warrington with 3 potential hires.  

 

Job requirements

• Programming or application development experience may be advantageous.
• Experience with design authoring tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation and some use of design collaboration systems
• Experienced working within an Infrastructure (Rail or Highways) coming from a Civils background
• Experience with 3D review tools such as AutoDesk NavisWorks, Bentley Navigator desirable.
• Ability to engage with staff at all levels, to provide learning on BIM and drive adoption of BIM process, to ensure sustainable transformation.
• Delivery of BIM and Information Management systems and processes within Medium and Major Projects contexts.
