We are currently working with a major engineering contractor, specialising in Rail and Electrification who are looking to expand their growing and developing team by hiring a BIM Manager to join their ranks in Coatbridge.
As a BIM Manager you will be tasked with producing, validating and managing complex data sets and workflows within federated models for a multitude of projects across the company, ensuring data integrity so that it can be shared with construction teams, clients & sub-contractors, enabling design that is correct from the outset.

As a BIM Manager you will be tasked with producing, validating and managing complex data sets and workflows within federated models for a multitude of projects across the company, ensuring data integrity so that it can be shared with construction teams, clients & sub-contractors, enabling design that is correct from the outset.
The Job Requirements of this role include but are not limited to:
- BIM coordination & daily management of BIM project data sets & workflows.
- Development of Federated Model Process Management for projects ensuring models are fully version controlled.
- Prepare for, contribute & assist as required with DDRs, IDCs & IDRs, presenting approved federated models.
- Assist with CAD QA assurance processes pre & post submissions for the client & its sub-contractors prior to issue.
- Support projects with supplementary modelling.
- Manage BIM federated models within the Project environment.
- Manage technical engineering deliverables where required.
- Producing high quality 3D BIM/CAD models and drawings for a range of high-profile clients.
- Develop signal sighting models using project approved federated models.
- Prepare for, contribute & assist as required with signal sighting meetings with EMSR and/or Train Operating Companies (TOCs) to drive signal sighting models & field queries.
- Understand alignment design & rail alignments to be able to regress survey data to produce useable inputs to signal sighting & federated models.
- Experience of working on large multidisciplinary rail projects.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- At least 3 years experience working on rail projects within either a BIM or CAD capacity.
- Ability to travel to different locations as and when required.
- Ideally Experience in using Bentley V8i/Connect and eB/AssetWise
