We are recruiting for a Bid Manager to join a very well-established team, ensuring that due process is followed on all frameworks and invitations to tender. A key aspect of the role is to co-ordinate the tender preparation documents submitted by other departments, making sure that they adequately address the client’s requirements for the work. A track record and experience in the preparation of commercial documents and technical information, including methodologies is required.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall tendering for a portfolio of works, multiple projects or individual schemes. This will include attending internal and external commercial meetings. Supplying relevant commercial information and reporting to the Commercial Manager/Director for review at specified intervals, including managing and producing formal reports for inclusion in the quarterly commercial board reports.

The Bid Manager will be required to develop client relationships, maintain and establish regular contact with the client.

Manage, train and provide support to the estimating team, carry out regular job chats, PDRs and help develop staff through PDPs. Ensure that all tender correspondence is recorded and logged.

Review contents of tender documentation and provide feasibility advice. Prepare and submit tender queries and subcontract enquiries, in line with company processes.
