My client is a specialist rail vehicle engineering and project management business.

An opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join the existing team, reporting to the Head of Bids and Marketing you will be responsible for preparing costing and submission of documents to respond to customer enquiries.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and have an excellent understanding of rolling stock.

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the preparation of Bids and Tenders
• Preparation of detailed budget costings to support submissions and presentation of submissions for review and acceptance
• Identify opportunities to enhance and improve the process
• Customer interface for ongoing bids and follow up of submissions
• Maintenance of opportunity database and bid register
• Responsible for project managing large multi-million pound bids
• Proof reading and quality checking of bid responses
