Bid Writer / Bid Manager

Location: Droitwich, West Midlands (office located) – possible flexi working

Salary: £ <phone number removed> per annum (dependant on experience)

My client is currently looking for a Bid Writer/Bid Manager to join a major civil engineering contractor. The ideal Bid Writer/Bid Manager will come on board and be a key member of the Bids/Tendering department.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Work well within a high performing team and be able to communicate at all levels of the business
• Demonstrate a variety of approaches to bids dependant on business and client needs
• Produce winning bids and proposals aligned with win themes and business strategies
• Be prepared to develop innovative approaches to bids to secure winning positions
• Create resource plans and bid budgets to secure appropriate internal funding
• Work well under pressure and manage both internal and client deadlines
• Support with creating business winning documentation that accurately reflects the company as a whole
• Professionally tailor the tenders to the requirements of each individual customer by use of extensive market intelligence research
• Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders and project managing the bid process end to end
• Tender Database management
• Generate Marketing Material
• Assess new business opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful experience of working as a Bid Writer / Bid Manager
• Previous experience within highways/motorway or bridges sectors
• Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
• Confident at Writing bids
• Experience of a working in a busy, continually pressured deadline driven working environment
• Key Presentation skills
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in the relevant field
• You will have experience of managing significant bids and other submissions
• Demonstrating an innovative and creative approach.
• Passionate, self-motivating and can work with little or no guidance.
• Able to work as part of a team to achieve a greater goal
• Proactive and always willing to offer and ask for help when needed
