Our client currently has requirements for a Compound Manager/Supervisor on an initial 6 month contract for their large rail project from Central London.

Reporting to the Plant and Logistics manager the Compound Manager/Supervisor will ensure that PC controlled compounds are managed safely and efficiently. Ensuring compounds are maintained, that site attendees are aware and comply with site rules.

Other duties will include:

• Promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with project rules and guidelines
• Comply with all health and safety legislation and promote the same to project peers
• Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, customers, premises and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times
• Provide site inductions
• Monitor site behaviour/activities, challenge, educate and report findings
• Provide daily reports of activities, good/bad practices and non-conformances
• Escalate site non-conformances and unsafe behaviours via the relevant on-call process, collate evidence to support any required investigation.
• Provide mediation and assist in any conflict resolution
• Monitor and manage site consumables ensuring site welfare provisions are maintained.
• Monitor site deliveries ensuring that all deliveries are planned and report any non-conformance.
• Ensure traffic management is maintained within compounds.
• Manage site register; check that all staff has signed in/out as applicable

Competencies/Skills required

• PTS – AC
• Telehandler licence.
• COSHH awareness.
• Good communication skills.
