Construction Manager in United Kingdom
Management and coordination for all drainage issues for East Sussex Highways and responsible for time, cost, quality, specification, safety and environmental requirements for those activities. Main responsibilities include managing projects on a day-to-day basis within agreed constraints and authority - this is to be managed to ESH project management systems. Ensure the projects comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and that issues of health, safety and environment are paramount to the projects delivery. Manage and deliver the projects to time, cost and quality targets and to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and processes. Other reaponsibilities include ensuring that the projects deliver the required products at each stage of the project lifecycle to the required standard of quality, and within the specified constraints of time and cost. Report project process, identify and implement process improvements and establish the project organisation: define roles, responsibilities and deliverables for all team members. Manage and administer consultant and supplier contracts and project resources.
Experience of personal responsibility for managing preferable drainage but could include highways maintenance and managment projects and working in a large, complex, safety focused and integrated highways services organisation(s), and delivering to time, budget and quality. HNC or higher qualification and appropriate professional qualifiactions in project management are highly desirable. Technical experience relevant to drainage is also required and this will vary from one project to the next.
