Construction Manager (Inside IR35)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Network Rail for 2 x Construction Managers (inside IR35) to work on a 6 month contract. The positions will be based in Cardiff typically 5 days per week however due to current restrictions there is some remote working in place for the time being. Hours are 35 per week, Monday – Friday.
As a Construction Manager, your main responsibilities would be:
- To direct and manage the resources and ensure delivery of engineering outputs to enhance capability and reputation; and to maintain standards and improve the quality of products, services and advice to customers.
- To apply engineering knowledge to direct the development of work plans, including defining improvements to systems, capabilities and/or process, and contribute to setting the strategic direction in that area.
- To direct, monitor and carry out work to ensure the delivery of the team's agreed outputs using existing and emerging engineering practice, whilst maintaining and enhancing the credibility, integrity and reputation.
- To influence and negotiate with customers and stakeholders at an equivalent specialist level to ensure the successful delivery and pull through of their projects and to promote the engineering reputation.
- To recruit, motivate and develop teams and improve ways of working to increase effectiveness and productivity.
- To manage engineering projects across the client body to deliver key engineering outputs and improve systems or products.
You’ll have:
- 019 responsible manager.
- extensive knowledge of GZAC and PPS systems.
- Construction Phase Plan and Works Package Plan review.
- Extensive Knowledge of isolations, possession and line blockage planning process.
- Good customer service skills
- Enthusiastic and be able to take lead.
- Must be capable to Multi task.
- Rail experience essential
- PTS is required
