Post Responsibilities

- Ensuring all staff are fully aware of the life-saving rules and Kelly Rail UK Ltd Values.
- Timekeeping and management of staff to ensure works commence as per scheduled.
- Ensure all site staff have appropriate personal protective and are wearing it at all times when on duty.
- Ensure that all works are entered into Unity, are accurate and complete
- Ensuring smooth running of works
- Coordination of the works
- Getting involved with planning / Survey/ Civil Works/ all Safety Aspects of the site.
- Managing Site Supervisors & managers
- SSOW planning (where applicable for the role)
HSQE Responsibilities
- Be aware and compliant with all Kelly UK Rail Ltd safety policies, procedures and values ensuring all site staff are also aware.
- Ensure that close calls/near misses are reported and captured in a timely manner.
- Invoke the ‘Work Safe’ procedure.
- Ensure that all personnel under your control are fully briefed before work commences.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings and record attendance as required.
- Challenge unsafe behaviours.
- Acts as the Responsible Manager for Safe System of Work Planning activates for applicable contracts, the role includes: responsibility for the development of safe systems of work and production of SSOWP is competent and experienced in setting policy and defining procedure and guidance for safe systems of work planning and the production of SSOWP activities. Responsible Managers are responsible for:
- Assigning safe systems of work planning activities to competent planners
- Adequate preparation of the plan by the nominated planner(s) and commissioning and validating of the plan
- accepting and rejecting plans
- verifying that the specified levels of protection are appropriate to location and nature of work
- nominated Safety Critical Roles
- monitoring performance data including level of protection provided, and the number of
- plans rejected or changed on site

Essential Knowledge:
- Proficient use and knowledge of software such as Microsoft word, Excel, outlook and project
- Recognised industry qualification and/or,
- 3 years’ civils experience with Rail Industry
