My client currently has an opportunity for a Consultation Manager. As the Consultation Manager, your key responsibility will be to devise, implement and manage plans and strategies to deliver public consultations that meet sponsor requirements and are aligned to government principles. Additionally, to lead the delivery of consultations on target and within budget. Ability to represent HS2 to the public, stakeholders and media at consultation events. As the Consultation Manager, you will report to and deputise for the Head of Consultation.

Key Skills, Experience of:-

Public consultation processes and legal framework

Project Management

Management skills and the ability to motivate and lead multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver projects and activities within targets.

Meeting business goals and objectives and the ability to exercise professional judgement.

Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Writing and developing materials for a range of audiences, including public facing documents, senior board papers and promotional material, presenting complex material in an accessible format appropriate for the audience.

Making high level decisions and taking action with regards to projects, governance, relationships, health and safety, and legal requirements.

Budget responsibility to the value of £2-5M and Managing contracts of the same value

Taking responsibility of health and safety. by taking personal responsibility for working to the HS2

S.A.F.E programme principles.

Excellent negotiate skills and the ability to persuade and influence.

Excellent communication skills

Qualifications Required:-

Recognised Project Management Qualification

(PRINCE 2) or (APMP) or equivalent
