JOB TITLE: Delivery Manager
LOCATION: London
SALARY: £400-450 Per Day (Umbrella)

THE CLIENT
My client is a multinational infrastructure group who are currently recruiting for a Delivery Manager to join them on a Rail Project on an initial 12 month contract basis. This role will fall within IR35 so we are unable to recruit any candidates who wish to be paid via a Ltd company

THE ROLE
* Delivery Manager role is vital in meeting the objectives of the business.
* Delivery Managers are essential in building the foundation and competence of key engineering personnel who are the foundation of the track and drainage renewals the business delivers for the London Underground.
* Delivery Managers will be overseeing the preparation, site delivery and follow up works for track and drainage renewals. They will also be instrumental in developing all other team members to a high standard.
* Overseeing and reviewing programme of works for weekend core works
* Guide supervisors on site visits as required
* Review resource plan and schedules
* Review planning documentation
* Review requests for plant
* Lead the assessing of resource requirements
* Oversee programme development
* Attend or ensure representation at key possession planning meetings
* Review and approve train matrix planning
* Attend pre-closure meetings
* Ensure end-to-end process deadlines are met
* Review Work Package Plans
* Review risk assessments for completeness
* Ensure delivery presence in key stakeholder meetings and to resolve any issues
* Organise and deliver internal training
* Developing competence of supervisors
* Engage with client to find engineering solutions
* Liaise with other critical site staff and operatives
* Ensure plans are effectively briefed to all staff prior to works taking place
* Attending all training and briefings to ensure all activities meet current regulations and guidance
* Undertake site manager duties on site
* Ensure safe delivery of all sub-projects
* Ensure successful delivery of all sub-projects
* Ensure efficient, timely delivery of all sub-projects
* Ensuring permit to dig process is followed
* Ensure quality checks undertaken
* Identification and recording of DOWLS
* Provision of engineering advice to all on site who require it
* Satisfactory track renewal measured by track quality
* Briefing registers
* Satisfactory site diaries
* Material Schedules
* Plant requisitions
* Achieving lockdown deadlines
* Achieving GMP product submission deadlines

ABOUT YOU
* HNC/HND in appropriate discipline
* Understanding of track design drawings
* Understanding track and drainage standards, processes and procedures
* Detailed knowledge of construction methods available in the industry
* LU Track Accustomed certification, LUCAS Card
* IT skills (MS Office)
* Full UK driving licence
* Stressing levels 1&2
* Understanding of CDM and H&S legislation
* Working knowledge of LU planning systems
* Lifting appointed person certification
* Demonstrating understanding of PMF

Desirable
* 7+ years relevant experience in track construction environment or other construction discipline
* Understanding of material sampling and testing specifications
* Hand-back checks
* Experience of contracting environment
