Due to our expanding workforce and new machines, we now have a great opportunity within the Company for the position of an Experienced Driving Standards Supervisor in the LNE & East Midlands region. We recognize individual efforts and a unique culture that promotes a long-term career with us.
The successful candidate for the role of Experienced Driving Standards Supervisor will hold a valid European Train Drivers License, be highly motivated. Ensure all OTM Drivers competency standards are being maintained and assessed to all Railway Group and Company Standards including the maintenance and improvement of route knowledge and associated records.
Essential requirements for the successful candidate include:
• Ensure the competency of staff is in line with safety requirements, Rules, regulations, MOSM, Legislation and other instructions.
• Conduct Mentoring duties as required.
• Work closely with Assessors to ensure planned competency assessments are completed.
• Assess staff on OTM operations where required.
• Liaise with the OTM Supervisor in the planning, resourcing and delivery of all OTM’s.
• Undertake accident/incident and technical investigations, evaluating findings and recommend solutions.
• Obtain On Track Machine Competence Records including data downloads as required and maintain records for audit purposes.
• Supervision of OTM/direct labour, checking quality of workmanship.
• Drive and operate OTM’s to meet contractual requirements.
• Provide general assistance to the Drivers Standards Manager as required.
• Knowledge of Rules and Regulations, HSW, Group/JV/Industry Standards and other appropriate regulations.
• DE32,A1/A2 or QCF Level 3 Assessor desirable or working towards.
• Knowledge of Safety Critical work regulations.
• Recognised Trainer Qualification desirable.
• Minimum of 5 year’s driving experience.
