As the leading provider of rollingstock asset management services in Australia, we have expertise in delivering whole-of-life asset management support to our customers. Our capability allows us to offer turnkey solutions for complex projects and spans every project phase, from design and manufacture to through-life-support, condition monitoring and data analytics, to fleet maintenance, operations and comprehensive overhaul of assets.

Current flagship projects, plus exciting projects on the horizon:

• Melbourne Metro – 70 High Capacity Metro Trains and a state of the art train maintenance facility in Pakenham.
• Sydney’s Waratah fleet – 119 trains including through-life-support at our purpose-built Auburn Maintenance Centre.
• Queensland’s New Generation Rollingstock – all upgrades to Queensland’s fleet taking place at our historic Maryborough Service Delivery Centre.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest, to lead and manage current and pending projects, can be located in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne:

• Technical Director – Rollingstock manufacturing - responsible for ensuring the integration of train design, manufacturing facilities, maintenance facilities and through-life-support services.

• Engineering Manager - responsible for managing the interaction with key Stakeholders ensuring their input into the design process.

• System Safety Manager - responsible for all effective System Safety principles and processes, defining system safety requirements, supporting safety requirement development, developing and authorising the required SARs.

• RAM Manager - responsible for all RAM aspects of the project life cycle, such as defining RAM requirements, supporting FMECA development and generating reliability predictions.

• Fleet Engineering Manager - responsible for supporting the transition of the train design into a full suite of maintenance and fleet support documents for the through-life-support phase of the project.

• ICT Shore Manager – responsible for integrating the new rollingstock ICT system with Downer's existing ICT shore systems and Asset Information System (AIS), and the operator fault and monitoring systems.

To be considered:

• Must have a minimum of 10 to 15 years relevant experience in rollingstock design/assurance or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years successfully leading highly innovative and productive engineering teams.
• Strong experience in the integration of multiple workstreams for major infrastructure projects.
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) and eligible to be registered on Engineer’s Australia National Engineering Register and relevant State Engineering Registers in the Electrical Engineering area.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills with all stakeholders, including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports.
