Engineering Manager in United Kingdom

If so we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Croydon to interpreting, planning, organising, executing, and coordinating technical projects. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Job Description
- Leads engineers from multiple disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
- Responsible for appointment of competent discipline lead engineers for technical delivery.
- Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of rail engineering.
- Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
- Builds relationships with technical teams within the organisation and individuals inside and outside of the organisation.
- Responsible for acting independently on technical matters.
- Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
- May have responsibility for people management
Qualifications
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer CEng / IEng.
- Recognised engineering qualification or preferably a degree in Engineering.
- Multi-disciplinary knowledge of rail engineering.
- Strong technical leadership of teams in the delivery of projects focused on delivering for the Client.
- Knowledge of system interfaces which impact on discipline design principles and demonstrable experience of the successful management of interfaces within projects.
- Completing quality control reviews of work developed by others.
