Environmental Manager in Hampshire, United Kingdom
I am currently seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join my client, a specialist forestry and devegetation contractor on a permanent basis. My client is currently very busy working on multiple multi million pound rail project working for some of the largest and most reputable tier 1 contractors.
This position is going to be based in the Hampshire area. You will need to have the flexibility to work from the office, from home and be able to travel around to different sites.
Reporting to the Operations Manager Manager, you will be required to promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous
improvement of environmental, sustainability and community relations aspects of the project.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Have expert knowledge in and demonstrate the requirements of the Environmental and Sustainability policies
- Be familiar with and deliver requirements of the UK Health and Safety and Environment Policies and IFE programme.
- Develop, update and review the Environmental Management System
- Advise and support project team with managing their environmental and sustainability responsibilities
- Promote continuous improvement of environmental performance on specific projects.
- Provide advice, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their
environmental responsibilities.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree qualified in an environmental discipline or equivalent
- Previous experience of project management within the civil and rail industry
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A valid CSCS card
