Role and Responsibilities

- Support the Rail Projects by meeting all environmental requirements by giving clear guidence, practical support and technical oversight

- Ensure that right Legislation, Industry standards and client expectations are managed throughout design and delivery

- Support the team by embedding best practise and sustainability, environmental protection and risk managament

- Act as key point of contact for all Environmental works: Impact assessments, consents, DIA, Ecologoical surveys, carbon reduction plans, waste management plans...

- Working closely with regulatory bodies, Environmental agency, local authorities...

- Ensure environmental performance is monitored/reported in line with client and statutory requirements

- Support with Audits (internal/external) and assurance processes

Desired Skills

- A Degree in a relevant subject i.e Geography/ Environmental Management

- Environmental/Rail Contractor experience

- Be a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv)

- Member of the insitute of sustainability and environmental profesionals (MISEP)

- Strong knowlegdge and experience of Network Rail Standard 015
