Framework Manager - Building: Education Sector (Uxbridge) FTC

We currently have a unique opportunity for a Framework Manager to join the team, working alongside the Eduction Director in our Uxbridge offices within our Building Division.

The position is a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of Maternity Leave for 9 months, starting from December. The role would suit someone with a Bid Management / Pre-Con background or someone looking to develop within this area for a set period of time.

Role Overview: We have been appointed to six lots on the 2017 Education and Skills Funding Agency Construction Framework throughout England, in value bands worth up to £3.1 billion. We are active members of the previous frameworks, winning over £350m worth of school projects. The role of the Framework Manager is to be the first point of contact for Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Framework notifications and communications and management of ESFA pipeline of projects.

Key Responsibilities: EFA Framework pipeline management

  • The Framework Manager is the first point of contact for all Framework related ESFA communications and is responsible for disseminating Framework updates and ensuring Framework related queries are responded to
  • Receive weekly pipeline of opportunities from ESFA, filter for each Regional Business Unit (RBU) and prioritise with RBU
  • Complete of expressions of interest for projects and other returns as requested by ESFA framework managers

Liaison with regional offices

  • Assist regional businesses with project opportunity tracking, desktop research and intelligence-gathering
  • Prioritise opportunities in liaison with regional businesses and participate in bid/no bid decision-making
  • Advise on design and consultant teams
  • Share best practice, examples, templates, tools and processes

KPIs

  • Collect KPI data from regional business units, collate and submit to the ESFA as required
  • Disseminate KPI data and it’s analysis and work with regional business units to identify areas requiring performance improvement

Bid management support

  • Provide support to regional business teams with bid writing, reviewing, attendance at engagements etc.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Individuals should be self-motivated and able to take the initiative
  • They should have the ability to communicate at all levels and through all mediums, including formal presentations
  • They should also have strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Experience of bid management and/or bid writing would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the Education Sector within the built environment is a must
