HSQE Manager

We are currently working with a major engineering contractor based in Doncaster who are looking for a HSQE Manager to join their team. As HSQE Manager you will be responsible for managing the promotion of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) and Operational Safety leadership for all teams and lead the HSQE safety team, providing timely and accurate data across the business.

We are currently working with a major engineering contractor based in Doncaster who are looking for a HSQE Manager to join their team. As HSQE Manager you will be responsible for managing the promotion of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) and Operational Safety leadership for all teams and lead the HSQE safety team, providing timely and accurate data across the business.
As HSQE Manager your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the promotion of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment across the company
- Complying with and promoting company procedures to provide appropriate resources, communication strategies, training, and competency and evaluate fitness of staff to safely deliver their accountabilities.
- Managing safety and environmental risks to develop an understanding of these along with controls necessary to reduce risks to levels that are As Low as Reasonably Practicable, in compliance with legal requirements and corporate processes and systems.
- Identifying and implementing any quality and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with policies and strategies across the function and audit compliance with legal and statutory regulations.
- Manage the HSQE team to maintain full engagement in meeting business objectives.
- Manage level investigation as required.
- Oversee the implementation of the Behavioral safety and Safety Culture Change Program.
Job requirements:
- Experience in HSEA and operational safety issues on major programmes of work in the construction and/or rail industries.
- NEBOSH Certificate desirable and IEMA Certificate desirable
- Detailed knowledge of safety and operational issues
- Good understanding of the UK and European legislative framework and requirements.
- Valid PTS.
- Good understanding of railway process and procedures including railway standards.
- Computer literacy.
- Willingness to travel and to learn and open minded for new technologies.
