Our client now has a unique opening in their team for a HSQE Manager to join them on an ad hoc contract basis (Outside IR35). This is a fully remote role where you'll be required 2 days per month, and every 3 months you'll be required for 3 days to carry out an internal audit on specified sections.

Your main purpose will be managing the business management system (BMS) ensuring that our client is compliant across various legislations, particularly NWR standards.

Principal responsibilities:

• Understand the contractscope, milestones and deliverables to achieve planned objectives
• Support the bids and proposals as required
• Lead on the development of business processes and procedures
• Carry out audits in accordance with the business audit plan
• Support the business through external audits
• Support the business with corrective actions when NCR’s are identified
• Carry out spot inspections on department processes to ensure they are fully complied with.
• Conduct annual reviews of company documentation
• Prepare and issue quarterly newsletters to include NWR communications and any changes to legislation

Key skills/experience required:

• A minimum of 5 years’ Rail sector experience
• Auditor experience
• Preferably NEBOSH qualified
• Clear understanding of the Sentinel Scheme requirements
• Knowledge of ISO standards
• Experience in managing and developing RISQS compliant systems
