Interface Manager - LRT
A newly awarded EPC contract has been awarded for a complex LRT project in Israel and my client is looking for a team of engineers, one being the Interface Manager.
The interface manager will guarantee the correct resolution of all internal and external interfaces between the defined project groups, including stakeholders, the correct integration with the civil works and the rolling stock.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and update as necessary, the Interface Management Plan (IMP) for the tasks under the Agreement, including a detailed interface matrix and correspondent interface sheets.
* Identify Quality Management Procedures relevant to interface management.
* Provide functional safety assessment regarding interface hazard analysis.
* Manage all technical and administrative methods and solutions for interface handling as detailed in IMP and assigning responsibility and authority for interface management and administration.
* Follow up the interface status recorded in Interface's Register (IR) reporting the results in the Monthly Progress Reports.
* Support and manage the identification of all internal and external interfaces within the Project.
* Support and manage the identification of all internal and external interfaces with the different stakeholders that are involved in the Project.
* Establish the milestones, schedules and resources required for interface management activities.
* Support and manage the correct resolution of the internal and external interfaces:
o Checking that the requirements of the leader unit are sent to the second unit for verification and implementation.
o Verifying that the interface requirements have been accepted by the second unit and have been considered.
o Verifying that the design solution applied by the secondary unit fully satisfy the requirements of the interface.
* Manage the request information directly from and providing information directly from Interfacing Parties, keeping the State and any other third party or stakeholder involved in the process.
* Manage the organization and coordination of interface related meetings and associated documentation.
* Throughout the process of identification, definition and resolution of interfaces, the interface manager will manage the analysis in detail of each interface reviewing the documentation provided, making improvements proposals or recommendations and warning about possible problems.
* Manage the supervision of the different projects to ensure that are executed following the interface agreements achieved.
* Participate in inspections of the construction and installation of the elements in order to:
o Check if the interfaces have been taken in account.
o Identify new interfaces.
* Review the Test Plan and the Test Protocols with regards interface scope and defining interface test to be done.
* Check that all interfaces are properly tested and recorded.
Requirements:
* Will be fluent in English and have an understanding of Hebrew, hold a university or equivalent degree in the required field of competence and/or discipline and conform to the minimum requirements as specified below
* Experience: 10 years in Project Management / 5 years in PM of infrastructure construction projects 5 years on LRT or Metro projects
