You will be instrumental in ensuring the Production Team have the required Materials to Manufacture assets at one of the Largest Manufacturing sites in the North East.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a natural leader with the ability to enthuse and motivate your team to achieve the required results to meet KPI’s, and drive the team to accomplish continuous improvement of performance and process.

Being from a Manufacturing background you will understand the complexities of being the Material Manager, and therefore will be a confident decision maker, who can effectively plan, organise and control a supply chain with a logistics provider, but also challenge the ‘status quo’ to improve performance.

You will have a strong personality to lead the team and defend your corner in meeting with senior members of Quality and Production teams

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be responsible for the Planning, Organisation and Leadership of the Material Control Team to ensure smooth supply of parts into production of high profile projects.

Ensure planned delivery dates are using the MRP schedules and working closely with the integrated Master Production Scheduler.

Work with team to create strategies for mitigating scrap/shrinkage of stocks, along with supplier performance management via Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Management KPI’s

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Significant manufacturing and supply chain experience essential

Member of an appropriate professional bodies/institutions with appropriate qualifications

SAP Super User
