Principal Engineering Manager - Stations and Civils

Summary

A leading infrastructure consultancy working on high profile railway infrastructure projects is looking to hire a Civils Principal Engineering Manager to provide engineering leadership for work packages within an overall programme of works.

As a Principal Engineering Manager we want to hear from you if:


- You have at least ten years relevant, post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering railway design and or construction.
- Desire to develop existing skills and enhance team capability.
- A proven ability to lead a team with a dedicated approach to meeting project deadlines and utilisation targets.
- Flexible approach and willingness to develop career and those of colleagues.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
- You are a Chartered Engineer CEng through ICE or IStructE or approaching CEng or IEng status.
- Have the ability to lead, inspire and manage a team and their workload to ensure the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary railway projects.
- Strong understanding of draughting and BIM software and steelwork and reinforced concrete detailing.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering management.
- Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS Office suite including Skype, Yammer and Sharepoint, and have experience in structural analysis software (Super STRESS, SCALE and Archie) and Project Management software (Primavera or MS Project).
- Excellent experience of the co-ordination of the design process and team management.
- Excellent communication skills dealing with Clients, Contractors, supply chain, other parties, colleagues and disciplines.
- Client focused approach to service delivery and project deadlines.
- Ability to constructively and diplomatically review and check the work of others, including calculations, drawings, reports, proposals, etc.
- Experience as a Contractor's Engineering Manager and/or Designated Project Engineer, or ability to perform the role without further training.

Salary:

£73,000 - £78,000 per annum plus
