Procurement Manager in London, London, United Kingdom
My client, a major Rail organisation, is looking for an Interim Procurement Manager to join their team.
You will be required to play a hands-on role in leading all procurement activities for the project delivery teams across the business and will need to develop multiple comprehensive procurement and contract strategies simultaneously. A large focus of this role will be to proactively interface with stakeholders for requirements specifications and influencing decisions to make things happen.
My client is ideally looking for Procurement professionals with Rail experience but will consider those from outside the industry.
Essential Skills Knowledge and Experience:
- Rail Construction experience (highly desirable)
- Previous NEC contracts experience (NEC 3 PSC and NEC 3 ECC)
- Pre- and Post- contract experience
- Exceptional Stakeholder management
- Ability to develop and manage multiple complex contracts and procurement strategies, especially asset management, construction and IT.
- Able to work under pressure and effectively resolve issues to the satisfaction of multiple stakeholders
- Able to positively respond to scrutiny and defend recommendations
Desirable:
- Higher Education/Degree
- MCIPS or equivalent
