RAM Manager - Metro
EWI have an exciting opportunity for an experienced RAM Manager for a prestigious Metro rail project in the Middle East
The RAM Manager will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the metro system, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RAM management, preferably within the rail or metro sector, and possess exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement RAM plans and strategies to optimise the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the metro system.Lead RAM analysis, including reliability prediction, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities in the metro system.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the performance of critical systems and components to ensure compliance with project requirements.Conduct RAM training and workshops for project stakeholders to enhance understanding and awareness of RAM principles and methodologies.Review and approve RAM-related documentation, including RAM plans, reports, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness.Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure that RAM requirements are effectively integrated into the design, construction, and commissioning phases of the project.Analyse and report on RAM performance trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.Liaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in RAM management, preferably in the rail or metro industry.Proven track record of successful delivery on similar large-scale projects, with a focus on RAM optimisation.In-depth knowledge of RAM analysis techniques, including reliability prediction, FMEA, FTA, and RCM.Familiarity with international standards and guidelines related to RAM, such as EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
