RAMS Manager - Egypt in cairo, Egypt
A well-known contractor is looking for a RAMS MANAGER for a railway project in Egypt. They are looking for a RAMS Manager who has a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, language proficiency, and a commitment to fostering teamwork and innovation.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably with a Masters/MBA/PMP).
Experience:
* Proven track record in conducting RAMS Assessments.
* Demonstrated involvement in hazard identification and risk assessment workshops.
* Effective communication and reporting skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
* Previous experience in General Systems or Safety/Signaling Management, particularly in the railway signaling industry.
Language Skills:
* Proficiency in both Arabic and English (mandatory).
* Knowledge of French is an additional asset.
Core Functions/Tasks & Key Results Expected:
Establish RAMS Organization:
* Set up and oversee the RAMS organization to comply with EN 50 126 standard.
* Create and maintain project-specific RAMS documents.
* Monitor and analyse supplier RAMS documents for alignment.
* Technical & Regulatory Compliance:
* Analyse technical documentation related to RAMS, incorporating client feedback.
* Devise solutions to address RAMS issues effectively.
* Stay updated on technical project developments and adjust RAMS studies accordingly.
* Record Keeping & Approval:
* Compile RAMS regulatory records from the CR system/subsystem.
* Address Customer/ISA feedback to secure approvals for safety deliverables.
Team Management:
* Communicate objectives and guidance to the team.
* Ensure production adheres to requirements, suggesting corrective or innovative measures.
* Manage team workload allocation based on project priorities.
Innovation & Training:
* Propose innovative solutions as needed.
* Conduct annual skill and training evaluations for team members.
* Reporting & Risk Management:
* Regularly report on activities, progress, and technical issues.
* Raise alerts in case of identified risks related to schedule, design, or equipment.
Additional Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge Sharing & Building Partnerships: Actively promote knowledge sharing and build professional networks to strengthen relationships.
Research and Analysis: Generate new ideas, search for best practices, and propose more effective ways of doing business.
Job Knowledge/Technical Expertise: Possess fundamental knowledge of core business and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
