Rail Testing & Commissioning Manager: Perth

We are working with a leading railway infrastructure company who are currently delivery a major railway project in Perth, Australia. The project is in the closing stages and requires an experienced Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Manager to help deliver the project and make sure all commissioning and handover documentation is ready to be passed on to the client and the operator of the line.

This is an initial 6 months contract with possible extension. All accommodation, travel and insurance is paid by the client. However this role is only currently open to someone already based in Australia because it is an urgent role and they would not have enough time for a long visa and mobilisation process.

Duties of the role
The role will be managing the Projects Commissioning activities, both through direct personnel and specialist subcontractors. This is a senior role and will report to the Project Director.
The role is responsible for overseeing, managing and leading project staff in the commissioning of rail, mechanical, ventilation and fire safety systems and will support the Construction Manager and Project Director in ensuring the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Deed, Safety, agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirement.
The role requires a person with experience in the commissioning of projects of a similar character, size and complexity.

Requirement to apply
Demonstrated relevant experience in the Testing and Commissioning of large scale complex projects.
Tertiary Qualification relevant to the role.
Demonstrated experience in providing effective hand back documentation
Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality and environmental objectives.
Based in Australia and available to mobilise to Perth at short notice
