Requirements Manager: California High Speed

We are working with a rail systems consultancy to recruit an experienced Requirements Manager to support Systems Engineering activities for the civil works of a Design & Build project of the California High Speed Rail Project. The Requirements Management Engineer will support the overall objective of producing, coordinating and monitoring project activities for verification and validation of the technical contract requirements. This position will support the Validation & Verification team.

This role is based in Los Angeles, but also reporting to the project office in Selma once per week.

Duties of the role:
Independently develop and maintain IBM DOORS requirements database including architecture of modules, attributes, objects and linking schema.
Independently perform maintenance of existing databases, generate templates and import templates back into IBM DOORS.
Understand client's requirements and assess documentation to ensure that a compliant solution is designed and/or implemented utilizing industry best practices.
Independently develop process to generate status and traceability reports, metrics and documents.
Independently maintain links as necessary to other related databases.
Provide relevant inputs to other disciplines and functions.

Requirements to apply:
Degree qualified in Engineering or IT discipline.
10+ years experience in requirements management and systems engineering.
5+ years experience in requirements management and systems engineering working on rail industry projects.
Proficient user of IBM DOORS software, including modules, administration, DXL, attributes, linking, exporting, importing, report generation, etc.
Hard-worker, methodical and organized person.
