An exciting role has become open for a well versed professional in the Rail industry who has knowledge of rolling stock operations, risk assessment and national & european safety regulations.
Job Title: Risk Assessment Manager
Job Purpose and Objective:
Responsible for developing and improving processes of operational safety events and promoting and implementing risk assessment guidance for every Rolling stock department.
Contributing to the Operational Safety Management within the Rolling Stock perimeter. Providing competent, expert operational safety advice and assistance to Rolling Stock functions and assisting in the development and implementation of functional/generic risk assessments
Nominated deputy to the Rolling stock Operational safety compliance manager
Principal Accountabilities & Duties
·Participates in the animation of the processes linked to operational safety events and ensures compliance while meeting deadlines
·Provide support to the RS teams to investigate and animate work groups sessions following operational safety events
·Validates incident investigation reports related to RS departments
·Analyse, track and validate files related to Rolling stock critical safety events and SAN
·Participates in RS safety reviews
·Participates in human factors investigations in connection with RS operational safety events
·Advises RS departments on the development of GAME / CSM (change management) file
·Maintain the RS departments risk portfolio up to date
·Participates to the safety validation of change implementation
·Provide support and assistance to RS teams to undertake Risks assessments analysis and application of Common Safety Method in the case of organisation changes or new activities in RS teams
·Ensure RS departments determine the most practicable actions to eliminate, mitigate and control the risk associated with specific issues:
·Support the HSQE division manager in the development of operational safety strategies for the Rolling stock department
·Participates to the improvement of organisational and safety procedures
·Collaborates with the Quality team for a better integration of the operational safety management process into the Quality system management
·Can represent the HSQE Division manager in some meetings (5’ briefing, weekly brieffings…)
Skills and Experience
Essential
·Successful experience in Rolling stock maintenance required
·Technical skills required (engineering skills a plus)
·Knowledge of the application and interpretation of national and European Operational Safety Legislation within the Railway industry

·Detail oriented and investigation skills
·Problem-solving skills
