Risk & Value Manager

3+ Month Contract – to start immediately

£475 (Limited) - £550 (Umbrella) / day

Our client is a well established Nationwide Rail company whose professionalism and well respected name have been instrumental in their success. They provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.

Our client is looking for a Risk and Value Manager preferably from a rail,background with experience of schedule and cost.

You will need:

Essential

  • Quantitative risk analysis experience; in schedule and cost
  • Previously having worked with development projects
  • Strong Stakeholder management experience
  • Competent in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation
  • Able to build complicated cost, schedule and business risk models in a number of applications

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the rail industry
  • Membership of the Institute of the Risk Management or Association for Project Management

Risk Practitioner

  • Experience in Project Management processes and procedures
  • GRIP – stage gated processes

The Role:

To provide specialist Risk and Value Management (R&VM) assurance and support service to the project and project management teams. To drive and ember R&VM culture across the project and programme community and increase R&VM maturity. This role will be supporting the IP Southern Development team who develop projects for System Operator – their client.

  • Compile packs (Strategic business case) for projects that require DFT approval
  • Stakeholder interfacing; funders, 3rd party funders, senior stakeholders
  • Train and advise PM’s in the team on Risk and Value best practice
  • Understand and communicate value of risks
  • Will work on GRIP Stages 1-4 (Development stages)
  • Production of GRIP products relating to risk; i.e. Risk registers, Value management, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA), Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA), Function registers
