SCADA Manager in Canada
A well-known international SCADA Manager is in charge of following the design and development of the PLC based systems of the project such as SCADA, Emergency tripping System (ETS) and Intake switchover system for Edmonton LRT in Canada, Its a design and build project 14kms. The SCADA Manager will have to specify the above systems requirements for the project and to follow and verify the conformity of suppliers 'equipment and deliverables with the Contract Specification. They will have to ensure the coordination of these systems with all other equipment or sub-systems of the project and consider the specific requirements for site installation methodology.
Main Responsibilities
* To oversee, manage and direct a defined scope of work (Traction Power SCADA, Building SCADA) from the design activities to T&C, in a safe and efficient way,
* To specify and coordinate the T/SCADA and B/SCADA systems on the project, produce I/O list and define functional requirements
* To ensure management of interfaces and coordination of information with equipment interfacing with the SCADA systems.
* To ensure that the proposed equipment fit for purpose and is compliant with the contract
* To manage and follow-up supplier activities within the project, ensuring equipment are manufactured as per design and contract requirements
* To attend technical meetings with the client
* To report the project manager about all interface issues and risks to be managed
* To ensure that the quality process, RAMS requirement and HSE requirement are considered and followed.
* To ensure the design and development stage follow the Safety Integrity Level applicable
* To lead the validation of the SCADA software in factory
* To coordinate the activities between suppliers, RAMS consultant, and independent software assessor (ISA)
* To write the T&C procedure when necessary, and prepare the site activities, identifying the risks and issues
* To plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
* To ensure the tools, materials and equipment are suitable and available for the job
* Fully participate in the Canada programs including Ethics and Compliance, One Safety, training, etc.
* Other duties as assigned

The role performance will be evaluated according to the following points:
- Timely delivery of the deliverables. (i.e. activity completion and report issuance)
- Coordination of interfaces
- Quality of the documents
- Implementation of safety policies
- Accuracy of the work done and reported
- Client satisfaction
Experience
* Leadership, initiative, and decision minded
* Proficient in automation and SCADA system
* Experience with different type of automation equipment
* Conscientious and rigorous in the work
