I am currently recruiting for an Engagement and Interface Manager to join a growing rail organisation on a permanent basis in West London.
The role is responsible for supporting the Senior Engagement and Interface Managers in the delivery of Community Engagement Strategy and Interface Management.

The role is responsible for supporting the Senior Engagement and Interface Managers in the delivery of Community Engagement Strategy and Interface Management.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting in the development of an overview of communities along the route, their key issues, and efficiently responding to queries and complaints by resident.
- Supporting the delivery of the community and stakeholder engagement and interface, ensuring a joint execution of the strategy within Integrated Project Teams (IPT)
- Being accountable for escalating Stakeholder Engagement and Interface issues, existing and potential
- Raising and escalating engagement risks and opportunities to manage and deliver effective tailored engagement and stakeholder management
- Supporting the identification of best practices within the IPT
- Accountability for supporting the consistent approach to visitor centres and viewing platforms to further engage audiences
- Accountability for providing local, geographic knowledge to the delivery teams (IPTs)
- Stakeholder engagement
- Ability to develop and deliver difficult messages to highly sensitive audiences
- Ability to deliver and develop clear communications, written and verbal
- Understanding of complex issues
- Working to tight deadlines
- Experience on construction programmes is ideal
- Dealing with complaints from residents
- Understanding of the complex political environment within which the organisation operates
- Experience of managing delivery of engagement activities in the public and private sectors, on infrastructure projects of similar scale, scope and complexity
- Experience of supporting implementation of innovative solutions in community engagement and response across challenging environments
- Experience using new and innovative communication channels
- Experience of working in a political and/or regulated environment/ sector
