Job Duties:
- Manage all aspects of a railway site to ensure maximum cost efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance and repair works, and site development
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, and local authorities
- Establish and implement effective safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Ensure site works comply with relevant Rail Standards and Regulations
- Analyse and draw up long-term development plans and budgets
- Communicate frequently with project teams to ensure all objectives, progress and deadlines are being met
- Undertake regular site visits to assess the condition of any new or existing assets and road crossings
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant professional certifications, such as IOSH or NEBOSH
- Strong understanding of Rail Standards and Regulations
Experience:
- At least 5 years of relevant project management experience within a Network Rail enviornment
- Proven track record of managing successful railway sites
- Experience working closely with key stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and local authorities
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Sound problem solving and project management skills and capability to use own initiatives to resolve challenging tasks
- The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- Proficiency in the use of computer software, such as MS Office Suite
