Role: Site Manager / TIC - Tester in Charge
Role Profile:
* To ensure site works are performed efficiently and safely ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction as per the site specific documentation.
* To lead and support, as required, our clients delivery partners in their efforts to support project deliverables
* Site-based lead, ensuring project delivery is in line with agreed resource plans, client programmes, business budgets and customer requirements.
* The Site Manager will have a clear technical and commercial understanding of the Project deliverables for the project assigned to them
Typical Deliverables:
* Work Directly for the Installation Manager (Station Comms)
* Participate in the planning for effective delivery strategies for project implementation at site level, i.e resources required to undertake all enabling works, installation, testing and commissioning
* The Site Manager shall provide effective support for on-site supervision to ensure on-going safety and resource productivity.
* Once deployed to a project the Site Manager shall lead all site delivery staff associated with the project.
* Site Manager shall liaise closely with the Project Manager or Delivery manager where applicable to ensure all aspects of technical and commercial deliverables are clearly understood and provisioned for within the delivery plans
* The Site Manager shall have the required understanding of the project financials
* Site Manager shall establish an appropriate reporting regime with the appointed Project Manager & Deliver Manager where applicable in order that all aspects of work, progress and risks are clearly communicated and suitably prioritised
* Participate when required in early build ability and construction reviews with the survey and design teams thus giving opportunity to raise both risks and potentially alternative installation options
* Create (when required) site specific Work Package Plans and Task Briefs that reflect the highest levels of best practice for both safe working and productivity
* When required participate in the production of Work Instructions to ensure best practice is incorporated across the business.
* Participate in the design development process to facilitate deeper understanding of installation issues and challenges.
* Review of project related Bill of Materials and engaging with other project support roles to ensure availability of materials prior to works commencing
* Undertake regular staff / personnel briefings for all site staff. This shall include all relevant QHSE documentation, delivery progress and general toolbox talks.
* Pro-actively drive all site works and resolve issues with the Project Manager, Deliver Manager & Project Engineer in real time to ensure productivity remains to plan.
* Ensure all works are carried out to agreed standards and customer requirements.
* Provide daily progress reports to the Project team in an agreed format that includes key performancedata including current data on implementation in addition to material, plant, tool and vehicles
* Represent the Project Team and act as the interface between our client and the customer at a site level
* Capture and report all changes associated with site works in line with current processes
* Ensure adequate site records are kept including:
a. Progress against agreed plans
b. Updated risk and issues register
c. Comprehensive checking and recording of red-line drawings
d. Accurate recording of time spent on site by working parties (broken down into individual activities)
e. Accurate materials used records (broken down into individual activities)
f. Produce site diaries on a day by day basis and report on both individual and team performance
g. Complete and return works packs within 1 week of work completion

* Network Rail PTS COSS/SWL
* IRSE Telecoms Team Leader License
* IOSH Managing Safely
* CSCS
* SMSTS
* Natural leadership characteristics
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to bring together diverse groups
* Understanding of Railway telecoms installation & testing practices
* Strong technical background in the relevant fields
* Full First Aid at Work
* Confined spaces Manager Lv 5 Comp
* TIC - Tester in Charge - Evidence
Essential:
* HND/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is desirable. Depth and breadth of experience will be taken into account where these qualifications have not been attained.
* Computer literate - Microsoft/Windows Package
Desirable:
* Experience on delivering multi-discipline Site teams within a Rail / Metro environment
* Strong proven ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of financial and commercial processes
* Site based knowledge of discipline activities
* Knowledge of QUENSH and Safety Systems adopted for Rail / Metro environments.
* Proven experience of managing sub-contract resources
* Computer literate - Microsoft package
* Safety Training IOSH / NEBOSH
* IRSE Licensing
