The Company

This OEM World Leader designs and manufactures Rail and Commercial Vehicle Systems, and their customers are house hold names! Currently working on the UK’s Largest Rolling Stock projects!

The Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced Manager, with a background of integrating software and control systems within the Aerospace or Automotive sector. You’ll be an excellent communicator and work closely with out department to drive project to success. You’ll be knowledgeable in the safety-related real-time software development and appropriate design techniques. This role will have a small element of travel required, approx 10% across the UK and Europe.

About the Position

The role will be to manage 12 software engineers, in the integration of Software on the Trains / Rolling Stock. You will provide technical direction of the software elements of our clients products along with delivering software into a systems environment. You’ll also control expenditure within the Software Engineering team against an agreed budget.

The Requirements

You will be required to be educated to Engineering degree level and experience in an engineering environment.

Experience in architecting embedded systems using the C or C++ language.
