Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join the senior management team at a growing UK business operating in the Rail Industry.
A good knowledge of the Notified Body, Designated Body, Assessment Body and other UK approvals framework is a required for any candidate that is interested in the role.
The Technical Infrastructure Manager ensures that all activities undertaken achieve the quality and delivery requirements for projects and confirm high levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires someone to develop and grow a team of people who have the capability and technical excellence to undertake projects within infrastructure approvals and technical consultancy, predominantly for the UK Market. The role requires someone to develop and deliver a business strategy capable of meeting the growing needs of potential customers and the business. The role will also include collaborating and working closely with other parts of company based throughout the globe on International projects.
Functional Scope:
To be responsible for managing and developing the UK infrastructure business to deliver a broad portfolio of certification and consultancy services.
Key responsibilities:
* Forecasting / monitoring business targets and being a pivotal member to the business in achieving those targets
* Managing the portfolio for the infrastructure business and be responsible for all business development / revenue within the sector
* Assisting in other areas of business development such as Network Rail, London Underground etc. but not limited to just infrastructure and support cross selling within the business
* Developing proposals and undertaking account management activities to enhance client relationships and secure further work
* Managing / growing a team to develop and deliver a credible assurance delivery through all stages of assurance and create a strategy and sales plan to deliver new business for your area of responsibility
* Managing and leading projects, controlling budgets, quality and timeliness of deliverables
* Interfacing with domain assessors and other disciplines within the business, for example the Rolling Stock, Signalling, Power Supply, and Engineering teams
* To deliver successful technical services to clients and rail projects
* Representing the company at industry events and committees such as marketing events etc.
* Identify applicable emerging standards and industry best practice that impact the areas of responsibility
* Assist in the development of the Quality Management System, processes and compliance and apply appropriate corrective actions when required for your area
* Attending meetings with clients and other stakeholders, such as ORR, DfT, NR, LU, Compatibility Forum and SRP etc.
* Maintaining your own competence and knowledge at the forefront of the railway industry
