Temporary Works - Manager

Location Birmingham -

Salary - £60-70 + Car Allowance + Guaranteed Bonus

We are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Manager to work with a leading main Tier 1 contractor based in the Birmingham with travel between Birmingham & Oxfordshire as required. Competency in temporary works experience, TWC training CITB accredited and CSCS card is required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating interim and staged temporary arrangements.
  • They have the ability and independence to make engineering decisions that will not be compromised by commercial, programme or other pressures.
  • Ensure there is an up-to-date Technical Risk Management Plan (TRMP) issued and that it is reviewed and submitted quarterly
  • Review and be familiar with all upcoming work (by involvement with site planning meetings, reviewing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and so on) to confirm that all temporary works and temporary conditions of permanent works have been identified, and that all temporary work is properly designed and planned for.
  • Ensure that a proper design brief has been produced, including those from subcontractors.
  • Advise the Permanent Works Designer of any temporary conditions or loads that are to be considered in the permanent works design.
  • Ensure that a satisfactory temporary works design is carried out.
  • Ensure that, where complex temporary works are split into several items on the TW Register, suitable design reviews are conducted, and checks are made on how the items interact and are co-ordinated.
  • Ensure a Design Risk Assessment has been carried out and that any mitigation responses are known to all parties

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Hold a valid CITB TWC qualification.
  • Hold valid SMSTS training .
  • Must have temporary works experience,
  • Must have TWC training CITB accredited
  • Must have a CSCS card
  • Must have driving licence
