Construction Joint Venture for the design of Packages C2 and C3 of HS2 Phase 1. This will be referred to as the Design Joint Venture.
Package C2 covers the North Portal Chiltern tunnels to Brackley section.
Package C3 is the Brackley to Long Itchington Wood Green Tunnel South Portal section.
An operating model has been agreed between the members of the Design Joint Venture with all the roles required to deliver the services to the Construction Joint Venture.
This role description compliments any existing expectations from the participating members of the DJV. If there are any identified conflicts in this role description, these should be brought to the attention of line management both in the DJV and corporately.
Location: One of the five project Sections (NCA, AA, CA, T2G, & G2S)

The direct reports to the role are the Temporary Works Manager, the I&M Manager, and the General Site Support Engineers of the section
Working Relationships & Contacts

EKFB Construction Directors to discharge the ASC duties for construction site support -
ASC Site Support team- to support and instruct their delivery and opperations
ASC Site Support team (circa 30 people) - as design manager.
ASC PMO -reporting on progress and issues
Job Purpose:

• What the role sets out to do? The Temporary Works Manager, Site Support, Construction Services is resonsible for dischargeing the duties for construction support under the ASC scope of services with EKFB for the HS2 MWCC sections C2 and C3. Estimated timeframe of the position is from January 2021 through December 2026.
• Establishing a team to deliver the services which will consist of site-based representatives as well as office based support
• Site support consists of
o Responding to TQ's / RFI's / EWN's
o Reviewing of Temporary Works designs for integration with the permanent works design
o Reviewing and acceptance of permanent works materials
o Reviewing of fabrication details for integraiton with the permanent works
o Producing as-built records and details
o Contributing to Quarterly Reports and participating in Quarterly Reviews with EKFB
• Providing safety leadership within the ASC organisation
• Monitoring and supporting the Site Support Team to ensure that EKFB are receiving the contracted-for services
• Maintaining consistancy across all teams
• Liaising with the Construction Services Manager the resource requirements to align with construction activities
• Meeting budget, time-frame and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations
• Promoting and marketing all facets of ACS services during interfaces with clients and other sectors and disciplines, contributing towards the achievement of the divisional business plan, and building networks within the industry

• Responding to inquiries of the contractor EKFB, e.g., TQ's, RFI's, etc.
• Reviewing of Temporary Works designs
• Reviewing and approving construction materials
• Reviewing of fabrication details, shop drawings
• Reporting of results, preparing reports
• Producing As-built Drawings
• Contributing to the Quarterly Reports as required by the Contract Scope
• Providing safety leadership for the teams
Health and Safety Objectives
Monitoring that all ASC Site-based staff and Site visitors have been trained and inducted prior to working or visiting on EKFB sites
