Job title: Test Manager - Rolling Stock
Job location: Derby
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Rate: Equivalent to £45,000
We are recruiting for a Test Manager to join a client in Derby. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the testing of rolling stock units covering SHEQ, resource management and all associated activities in a testing environment.
Educational Requirements & Experience:
-NVQ Level 3 or higher alongside Electrical knowledge and/or qualification
-Rolling Stock Testing experience preferred
-Experience of a managing and developing a team
-Organisation, communication, influencing and decision-making skills
-Experience of, and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products
-Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
Key Responsibilities:
-Overall responsibility for all testing activities and associated health and safety
-Resource management across testing department
-Ensure team outputs satisfy delivery, quality, cost and quantity requirements and lead continuous improvement activities.
-Motivate teams to be proactive in achieving targets
-Responsible for the testing documentation completion
-Report testing progress to management team
-Liaise with other departments and advise of test results and any defects
