Overview

We strive to attract and retain the finest talent and are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team in the capacity of Head of P6 Project Planning.

The successful candidate will lead and work with the P6 Planning team throughout the full project lifecycle and work in conjunction with the wider Rail division.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work within the Transportation sector as a lead planner for associated Telecoms, Power and Minor Civil Engineering projects
• Manage planning for a portfolio of circa £20m worth of projects
• Understand Network Rail’s GRIP process
• Understand the lifecycle of a project including design, construction, test and commission and hand back
• Understand Network Rails requirements in terms of documentation required, including construction phase plans, work package plans and task briefs
• Work with the bids and tender’s team to create cost loaded P6 programmes to support tenders
• Work with Project Managers to review P6 programmes on contract award to develop a construction programme
• Work with Project Managers understand the ‘critical path’ and identify problems at an early stage
• Work with Project Managers to update P6 programmes on a monthly basis for submission to the client with monthly reports
• Work with Project Managers to identify potential problems at an early stage and implement effective contingencies
• Attend internal and client progress meetings as required
• Formalise planning processes within the company
• Coach and mentor Linbrooke Services existing P6 planners

Essential

• Experience of the whole project lifecycle
• Thorough knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6
• The ability to work effectively as part of project teams
• Good communications skills
