What are we looking for?
As Head of Capacity Planning, you will be a key member of the D2 Leadership Team. As well as being responsible for the overall performance of the Capacity Planning function, you will also play a pivotal role in ensuring that the exciting growth of the organisation is sustained.
The role provides the technical leadership of the Capacity Planning function and supports the D2 Rail division by ensuring the function has the rights capability (people, process, systems and tools) and capacity to meet the needs of the division now and in the future.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in Senior Leadership roles in the successful delivery of Capacity & Timetable Planning in the rail industry
- Knowledge and experience of capacity planning project processes and methodologies with the rail sector (including knowledge of rail operations and simulation software modelling)
- Experience of working on major projects (ideally in both Client, and Contractor / Consultant positions)
- Ability to identify and secure future growth opportunities for the Capacity Planning Team and wider D2 business
- Experienced in leading contract and commercial requirements across different contractual arrangements
- Outstanding behaviours with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- A people person who can work collaboratively within a wider team.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a self-driven can-do approach, with a creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
